SAIT or the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology is a local community college. It is a technical college, but also includes non-technical courses such as baking.
SAIT is home to the Highwood Restaurant and venues such as the Jubilee Auditorium and SAIT Campus Centre.
SAIT became a community in 1916. Even though SAIT is mostly known for its trade programs it offers 100 programs, including academic upgrading, technology, business legal assistant related courses and many medical related courses. SAIT is also part of Polytechnics Canada and provides a variety of resources and accommodations for their students. SAIT is recognized as a top 50 employer in the region and also the top five research colleges in the country and the best for training and development.
